Using My Book as backup for comp. with 3 drives AND a My Passport

I’m trying to figure out a new backup system. I have a desktop with 3 drives, (1TB, 500GB, 250GB) which I currently have backed up in entirety to a 4TB My Book that I just bought. (That backup took 4 days over a usb 3.0 connection, I would love to avoid doing that again). I want to ALSO backup on this My Book an older 2 GB My Passport which until now has been my primary backup drive. I would like to now use it as the primary storage drive for my photo, video, and music libraries in order to free up space on my computer as well as improve my digital work flow as I currently do work on my Windows 10 desktop and my MacBook Pro. Having everything on one drive would be great. I am completely unfamiliar with the WD Backup application and have been using WD Smartware, I’d keep using it but my drives are no longer supported with it.

How can I best:
Move my photos, videos, and music to the 2GB My Passport
And then backup the My Passport drive AS WELL AS the two SSDs and the HDD in my desktop to the same 4GB My Book? Is this possible?

The WD Backup application looks extremely feature light and I’m not sure how to go about this. WD Smartware had a UI/UX which was immeasurably more usable and I’m a little lost without it.

Thank you for any insight at all!

Hi sheehan469,

Yes, you can use My Passport for photos, videos and for your music files.
If both SSDs and the HDD connected in same computer then you may use WD Backup in your computer to take backup in My Book.
