Venture Compatibility - Pathetic Customer Service

You have to go into preferences and search for for extensions and then click allow for WD. That seems simple enough.

The problem is that WD does not even know this. Ventura has been out for 2-3 months. How they do not know this is unacceptable. After an hour and a half on the phone and being escalated to senior support staff, I found the answer on my own on these forums. The software gives an extremely vague answer but the terms are not correct. The support staff has zero clue.

I got it to work but likely the last WD product I will buy.

  • Click on the System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General tab link to open Security & Privacy Window.
    Click the lock to make changes (system password will be needed).
    Click Enable system extensions
