Warranty question out of region

I went ahead and purchased a wd caviar black from Amazon.com while I reside in Canada. When I got the drive I proceeded to wd website to check the warranty and it comes up as out of region. Now my concern is if something happens to the drive am I out of luck because I live in Canada and it won’t be covered for warranty?

Welcome to the Community.

WD Support is able to change your hard drive’s region if needed since WD offers world-wide RMA services.

How would I go about getting them to change the region? Do I just contact them?

That is correct. You can do so either by phone or email.
