Wd 750GB isnt recognize but i can play movies on LED TV

until today the HD was running normally but now the desktop is not recognizing (windows 7, 64bits, core i5 and 4GB RAM) the hard drive. I mean, the usb is normally functioning (it starts wd smartware just after pluggedin) but windows tell me to format the disc.

what is strange is that the TV LED (who has a usb in) recognize the disc and let me play video and music from it.

I just update software and drivers but have the same problem.

anyone can help me?

Hello,

I think the partition is corrupted and you will have to format the drive in order to use it again. Please note that formatting the drive will delete all data stored on it. It may be possible to still extract the data utilizing data recovery software.There are several kinds of Data Recovery software available. If you do a  web search for  Data Recovery  it will yield plenty of data recovery software options.

looking in the device management section i see that the partition is in RAW format and not NTFS. What must i do to recover the information?
