WD Access - cannot access

I have just bought a new laptop and installed WD Access. I right click on the icon and see the command “open” click on it and nothing happens - on my old laptop I get the Public access immediately - is this perhaps a network ploblem?

Are you trying to access a My Cloud on the local network?

What operating system is the computer using?

Can you access the My Cloud using Windows File Explorer or Mac Finder?

Can you access the My Cloud Dashboard with a web browser?

Thanks for your reply. I have used both wifi and ethernet. Windows 10 64 bit. No I cannot, have looked, changed all my network settings to try and find but no joy. I can get the Dasboard with a browser - I teach online and have so many files on the My Cloud that to search and view online is impractical and time consuming. If I can get to the public folder it is so much easier. I removed the antivirus that was pre-installed in case that was getting in the way - no dice!. Thank you again for your time. Mike
