WD Caviar SE

As part of a Software package I purchased online from Ebay, I received a 80gb Caviar SE internal drive Model WD800JD. Was about to hook it up and noticed there was no power pins to plug power cable into, and the data cable that I am used to plugging in will not work.(STD IDE data cable). I guess it takes a Western Digital’s Serial ATA cable with SecureConnect, but how does one know which one ?  Where does drive  get power, thru this cable ?

And will this install in an older DELL Optiplex GX270 Desktop ?

This is the drive: http://wdc.custhelp.com/ci/fattach/get/8525/0/filename/2879-001081-003.pdf

Thanks for your help

Hello and welcome to the WD Community.

This is a very old drive.

According to the document that you included on the link, this unit uses both power options

FlexPower -  connector technology that accepts power from both industry-standard and new SATA power supplies
