WD Driver doesn't want to show files TV

Hello i have problem with my WD Element 25A2 1TB driver. It does not work with TV if i connect him, TV say that there are no files to read. I would normaly think that there is problem with TV, because disc work with PC, but i have another one disc which i bought before and he works with TV perfectly.

most probably the drive is GPT partitioned … which is compatible with your PC (Win7 or Win 10)

but, TV may only support MBR partitions

file system can also be an issue. Some TVs do not support NTFS.

OP said he has another hard drive that works fine with his TV … one would assume he formatted the new one the same way ?.

And if it is (formatted identically) … and it’s not working, then GPT partitioning is most probably the cause, since older WD Elements were MBR, and WD switched to GPT with all their new hard drives.

I have the same problem with my TV that is not smart TV. I’ve formated to FAT32 and MBR, but is not working. Is it possible to use a doble cable Y? If yes, can I use an adapter with 6V? Because my TV only has one usb port. Thanks

You need to check your TV User Manual to see what the USB supports (eg. it may only support thumbdrives/flashdrives)

What’s the brand and model number of the TV ?

No, you can’t us a 6V adaptor (should be 5V anyways)
