Wd elements won't work on my Wd tv?

Why won’t my wd elements show up on my wd tv?
it has been formatted to mac os journaled.
i want to watch movies that i have on my elements storage device

is the device not compatible or is this something faulty?
Please help i feel like I’m wasting my money on products that don’t work.

Hello, what firmware version do you have in the media player? What is the size of the drive?

Please carry on, I just wanted to say I use a WD Elements just fine. 3tb. (Not Mac, Windows. Will keep a watch on this thread).
