WD GoodSync

I don’t understand the shift to Goodsync.

Do I need the Goodsync App running on my my WD MyCloudex2Ultra?
If so, do I need to buy a license?

Running WD Goodsync on my computer, I can then backup to my WD but not other generic GoodSync NAS (e.g. a Synology) unless they are running a licensed Goodsync?

If I want to access my content on my WD Mycloudex2ultra from my phone or tablet, is there a version of GoodSync for that.
If not, what is WD providing for that.

Are there any other supported apps or methods for connecting to my WD MyCloudex2Ultra after I have installed OS 5?

Why are there no videos for this?

Thanks.

There a number of free alternatives to GoodSync, try this https://freefilesync.org/

Thanks for the suggestions.

And since you are asking about a WD MyCloudex2Ultra, check the specific OS5 subforum for that device where there may be information or suggestions specific to that device.
