Hello Guys,
I used to be able to connect to Network Shares on my old macbook pro with no issues through WD Live, however, with the new Macbook Pro Retina comes OSX 10.8.2 and which I am having a problem connecting to. What are the proper setup setting?
Below are the details of my WD TV Live HD Media Player:
Part Number: WDBAAP0000NBK
Firmware version: 1.06.15_V
On System Preferences>Sharing settings:
- I choose “Share files and folders using SMB” and enabled the administrator account, which I am using.
- I choose the folder I want to share under “Shared Folders”, then I added all users with read and write permissions.
I am getting the error “This Network share cannot be accessed” when trying to connect to Network Shares.
played around with the settings randomly and landed with yet another error “No Media in this Folder”
If this is no longer compatible with new OSX 10.8.2 etc…, please suggest an alter Media Player which works (tested on 10.8.2)
I have already read many of the topics here, but all lead to the same error…
