WD my cloud cannot be opened in I tunes

Although I the WD Mycloud is shown in I tunes I cannot open it. When selecting it states that it is loading but then it jumps back to the I tunes library.

I just installed FW version v04.00.01-623, but do not know if it had something to do with it.

Any suggestions<

Dumb question, but are you sure you have iTunes Server active on the My Cloud?

Hi,

Yes I tunes server is enabled. When disabling it, it disappears in I tunes.

I have exactly the same issue as JustM. The WDMyCloud appears in the itunes sidebar under Shared, but clicking it just very briefly displays the columns you’d normally see for shared libraries, but indicates there are zero items, then returns to displaying the normal non-shared iTunes library items.

I have added content as mp3 files in public/shared music but iTunes is having none of it. Latest firmware in place, and iTunes 11.4 on Lion and Mountain Lion, iMac and MBA respectively. Hugely frustrating!

Have you guys tried rebuilding the itunes database?

As in Rescan iTunes database  in Settings => Media? I have but nothing changed.

Even reinstalled I tunes without result.

Installed the firmware as outlined in
