Hi everyone, had a trawl on the forums and seen there are many other people with this issue. I have tried all the resolutions offered and so far none have worked (different PC, different cable, older usb 3.0 drivers) and my drive is still randomly disconnecting. I am using Win 7 64bit and a windows XP laptop - same problem on both.
Does anyone have any more options for me to try?
You might want to check the power settings for the USB controller on the laptop.
Can you test the drive on a different computer?
Nope it was the drive, it eventually packed up and wouldn’t work at all. I’m glad I kept the receipt and now have had a replacement.
