WD My Passport Ultra not accessible

Problem: WD My Passport Ultra not accessible (does not show up in explorer(Windows) nor finder (Mac))

System: Windows 10 Pro

Solution attempts:

  • Cannot assign letter to disk in disk management utilities, only action selectable ist deleting the disk and help
  • Disk Utilities finds no errors
  • Checking on all USB ports → same result
    Checking with Mac air (macOS Mojave) → still not detectable!
  • drivers are up to date

Any further ideas how to make this work?
