WD Photo

HI All

I’ve installed WD Photos on my iPhone 3GS on the most recent IOS 4.3.3 and after having done the pairing on my WDTVLiveHub and I try to run the application for the first time. I get the following error message:

The operation couldn’t be completed. (NSURLErrorDomain Error - 1004)

Any ideas?

Thanks, Daniel

Did you update the firmware on the Hub to allow the link and did you register the Hub with the mionet client? o.o

Hi

I upgraded to 2.06.10 and I enter teh activation code on my iphone which I presume is the mionet client, did I miss something?

Thanks, Daniel

You still have to register the hub on the mionet site on a computer.

Isn’t the Mionet registration only if you’re accessing remotely? I’m trying to access the photos on my own wifi?

For the WD TV Live Hub you do not need to register a MioNet account. The activation code will attach the drive to the device using the app.

If you are having trouble with your activation code working, please send me an IM with your contact information.

If your activation code worked without an issue, but you are not seeing all of your photos, please keep in mind the current version of the firmware for the WD TV Live Hub includes a transcoder that is not using the resources it should. We are working to resolve the slow transcoding issue and hope to release a new firmware version with a faster transcoder shortly.

Have installed the App on my iphone 3GS.  And have the new firmware.  But I cannot get the activation code.  I hit “GET CODE” and it just hangs for a moment or 3 and then eventually pops me back out to the + Add Mobile Device screen.

Help?

Hi Broton,

Yes definitely talk to customer support. Your WDTV is having problems connecting to WD’s wd 2go server which registers your device and is what helps link your mobile device to your TV.

Normally, the WD TV uses upnp to open a port and if it fails will try over a relay server. It appears both are failing in your situation and knowing what’s wrong will help improve the software.

Thanks,
