A couple of weeks ago I downloaded the WD Remote app on my iPhone 4. It started working right away. SInce the app is limited to function as a remote control and nothing more, I searched for other apps that could provide options of viewing and playing the library stored on WD unit remotely. That app happened to be ZappoTV. I loaded and it started working and was what I wanted. Unfortunately, last week both apps for some reason stopped working. THe apps can’t find my WD unit. I’ve tried WD support and Zappotv support, both to no avail. I’ve reset both my router and the WD unit to no avail either. The WD unit is connected to the router via LAN, so is my desktop. While trying different options to resolve the problem, I’ve turned on my laptop, which was connected to my home network wirelessly. To my surprise the laptop showed up on the Zappotv app, and I was able to access its library. But I still can’t access the WD unti and my mail desktop. My desktop is Dell and it runs Windows 7. Anyone has any ideas? THanks.
What firmware on the WD TV?
What app version?
The HUB firmware is the latest - last checked on Friday (10/12). I will check when I get home. The app is the latest version as well 1.1.0 - last downloaded same day - Friday.
