WD Scorpio Black, no update beyond 750GB in 4 years! Is anything in the pipeline?

Their 750GB mobile Black 7200RPMdrive is over 4 years old! They haven’t released a new product in that lineup in about 4 years! Besides the dual drive. Makes me think they’ve given up and it’ll just be 5400RPM drives from now on.

Their blue mobile drives BTW still only get to 1TB versus Samsung’s M9T 2TB drive.

Does WD have anything in the pipeline for their 2.5" mobile drives? Their external 2.5" drives use the 2.5" green drives and they have a Scorpio Blue 1TB hybrid drive now, but, why not make a black version of that at 7200RPM?

Since WDC bought the 2.5" drive division of Hitachi, now called HGST, in 2011-2012, I wonder if 7200 rpm Scorpios are extinct.

HGST Travelstar drives are made in 500 GB and 1 TB sizes, both 5400 and 7200 rpm, with the 7200 rpm ones having 32 MB cache.
