WD sync only seems to be working in one direction

I am having trouble with WD Sync only working in one direction. I desperately want it to work as I ditched my Dropbox account for this!

I have several folders set up to sync on my Macbook Pro - I have set these up via the ‘Settings…’ option accessible via the WD Sync menu bar icon. For example, files on my local desktop sync with a folder called ‘Desktop’ on my My Cloud EX2 Ultra, a local ‘Documents’ folder should sync with a ‘Documents’ folder on my My Cloud, etc. etc.

I have spent hours making sure that everything has synced up to my My Cloud .

However, the problem I’m having is that it seems to be one way only. If I load something into a local folder it uploads to the folder on my My Cloud; however, if I load something into a folder on the My Cloud, it DOES NOT sync with my local folder. So it seems to be uploading only, which is of no good to me.

I know there are other syncing programs out there but I want this to work as, in theory, I really like the simple interface and ability to sync any folder I want.

Does anyone know how to make the sync two-way? Can I force a sync?

And now a new issue… Even if I add a new file, it’s saying it’s up to date, even though it’s not. Seems like it’s just stopped syncing now.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi, what version of the Mac OS X you have installed? What version of the application you have installed in your computer?

I am on OS X El Capitan (10.11.15) and WD Sync v2.0.1.62.

I actually just accidentally did something that seems to have resolved it! I went into the Dashboard and then went to Settings>General>Cloud Access and clicked configure and then rebuilt the ‘Content database’ and turned on ‘USB Content Availability’. When I did that, it just started syncing and now it seems to work!
