WD TV does not see my USB sticks

If I attach a USB stick to the WD TV and select ‘Local Storage’ I get “No Storage Present”.

What am I missing ( the stick is fat 32 formatted ).

  • What files are on it ?
  • Have you tried Both USB ports ? (front and back)
  • Have you tried a different USB Stick ?
  • Have you tried restarting the WDTV ? Setup > System > Device Restart
  • Did you “Safely Remove it” from your PC after copying files to it ?
  • Are you able to “Eject” the stick from your WDTV ? (button located bottom right side on Remote)
  • With the USB stick attatched to the WDTV have you tried copying a new file to it via Network Connection on your PC ?

Well,

I did not even notice that there was a front USB port, When I plugged the stick into the

front port everything worked as it should.

When I ejected the stick and tried the back port I still got the " nothing is there error".

I guess the back USB port is dead…
