WD TV gen 2 - movies freeze after short time with large mkv files

When playing .mkv files at HD quality, movies freeze after a short time. When the player is reset, the movie freeses at the same point in time.

Also, cannot downgrade to re-install firmware update. Currently 1.01.77 but cannot enter firmware upgrade mode. The bin, hex and tar files are simply ignored.

That’s a really old player – My guess is that the MKV files have MKV Header Compression.

Please post the full TEXT output of MEDIAINFO for such a file.
