Hoping someone can clear up a firmware question.

I am attempting to find and install 1.02.21 firmware on a WDTV Live Plus (WDBABX0000NBK) with the hope of using moviesheets. I have firmware 1.05.04_B-WDLXTV-Plus-0.5.1.1 but don’t think this is the same thing??? Can someone clarify the difference in the firmware for me if there is one?

Hello,

Installing a previous firmware is not supported on this product. I found this on a WD Knowledgebase article:

  • Due to the upcoming final release, we will not be able to support rolling back firmware to any other version than the previous version (1.06.15_V or 1.06.16_B)
  • Downgrading your firmware is not recommended by WD. Please only downgrade if you experienced an issue that prevents you from otherwise upgrading or using your WD TV product
