WD10EACS-00ZJB0 sometimes detected, sometimes not

ok, here is my issue.  The hard drive used to work perfectly fine (OS is installed on it)  before i got my new WD30EZRS.  Before, the WD10 ran fine with a Seagate ST31500341AS as a storage drive.  Mother board is an ASUS Striker Extreme with the latest BIOS.  Now, when i have both 3tb and 1.5tb HDDs plugged in with the 1tb hd, it wont be recognized.  But if i run it on its own, it boots up fine.  Ive tried everything from reinstalling Windows 7,  to Master - Slave.  What can i do?

Some questions to clarify:

  1. What’s not being recognized?  Just the 3 TB drive, or the other drives?
  2. What are you running on its own?  The 1 TB, 1.5 TB, or the 3TB drive?
  3. Have you checked with your motherboard manufacturer to verify that there are no compatibility issues with 3 TB drives?
  1. The 1tb drive is the one that isnt recognized soemtimes

  2. I am running the 1tb on its own.

  3. The 3tb has no issue being recognized, and i boot into windows by running the 1tb alone, the 3 pops up when  i plug it in.  (i have AHCI enabled to allow me to do that)

Anyone have any ideas?
