WD10EADS Faillure

Hi everbody,

I’ ve got a problem with a WD10EADS- 11M2B1 : it is not detected by my computer anymore  (in Windows or under the BIOS). 

But if i put it on an usb port by using an adpater some programs like Partiton Magic 8 or Get data back find him… but as a 2TB drive :angry:

So is here a chance that my hard drive is not dead ?

I’ve read that using another PCB should repair the disk and allow me to acces to my data : what do you think about that ?

its a possibility that you can recover using another PCB… if some crucial element on the hard drive that you need to recover is dead, a replacement pcb will not solve that. and when you get the other pcb you wil need to do soldering, so forget the new drive

talk to Fzabkar, he is the best advisor  to explain what you can doo… but keep in mind… its no easy or simple
