I have installed wd2go on my iphone obtained an activation code and entered an activation code

if i click again on the app i’m again presented with the enter activation code screen

What model iPhone and OS version are you running?

4.2.1

iphone 3 i think  - in “General|About” it says model MB629C

ok  thanks.

There is an issue with older Apple products based on the Arm6 processor. We sent an updated app to Apple yesterday to fix the issue. As soon as Apple approves it, you will be able to download it from the App store and it should resolve your issues.

Tony

i’ve downloaded the latest iphone app 1.0.1 but still no luck but different problems

code was acceped but get message “The device is not accessible. Local documents are available”

me again …

It works only if my iphone is on the same network as"My book" -

Are there router settings i need to change to access mybook from outside of my home network?

I have the same problem. Works when I connect over my local network using WiFi, but not when I’m remote using 3G. What do I need to do to connect via 3G??

Inane the same problem as above

WD 2go uses bonjour in the LAN to connect to your device. Hence, why when you’re on the same network it connects. It appears that the WAN address is not working and we need to find out why. If you go to your my book live page, click the remote access tab - what does the connectivity status line show? Direct, Relay, Failed, etc.?

it shows:

A direct connection has been established

Connected

What next?

We may have to look at your logs. Have you tried accessing it through wd2go.com (outside your home)?

Can you try disabling remote access, wait a minute or so, then re-enabling remote access? Then check again to see if the app works.

OK works via  cell plan if i turn wi-fi off

I have a router with both a “main” and “guest”  wireless access.  The MyBook was on the “main” network  and I was testing, unsuccesfully, via the “guest” network.  (it works via my “main” network

I assume there is a good reason for this not working and, given it works via my cell data plan, its likely it will work from external wi-fi

So you were attempting to connect to it while you were on the guest network?? Yea - that won’t work - those are meant to be separate networks - no communications between each.

So it is working now??

yes via cell data plan

I haven’t tried via external wi-fi but assume it will

downloaded the latest ipad app

code was acceped but get message “The device is not accessible. Local documents are available”

I’m still having the same problem as well.  I spoke to Level 2 support and they told me to disable the firewall on my router and to make sure that UPNP is enabled. I did both and still cannot connect over 3G. My device status also says “connected”.  I am using a Verizon FiOS router and the MyBook is connected directly to the router.

Any Suggestions?
