WDMBWE - turning off at night

I want to power off my new WDMBWE at night - I turn off the router at this time as well.

Is it ok to turn it off using the button on the back - even when the white lights are scrolling? They seem to still be doing this when both our laptops are turned off !

Again after reading up on this (and experimenting with the Admin Tools)  I will now use the Shutdown option at night before powering off the unit.
