WDTV Live folder password protection

Hello,

I would like to know if it is possible to protect the content of a specific folder (stored on an external hard drive connected through USB) with a password on the WDTV Live SMP.

If yes, how can we do this? I do not find anything about this anywhere.

The answer is probably that there isn’t a way, but it might depend on what sense you mean protect the content?  I.e., keep it from being accessed how?  From the SMP, as a share from another device, from the drive connected to another computer?

Actually I would like that when I try to enter into the folder on the SMP a box is prompted and ask a password or something like this. I just need the folder to be protected on the SMP but I need also to be able to unblock it from the SMP.

If I need to use a computer to set up the password the first time it is ok but if I need to use a computer each time I want to unblock the folder it won’t be good.
