Hello, I bought a Western Digital WD20EARX HDD on ebay and immediately checked the SMART Status. The spin up time was at 164 current and 163 worst. Now 4 hours and 5 power up´s and power off´s later the spin up time dropped to 159 current and 159 worst. The HDD is from 2011 and has 15.000 operating hours and has 5230 power up´s. Every time i turn it on and off the spin up time value is diminishing 1. Is this something i should worry about? or is this normal? I have to say that the divice was empty when i received it and i put 800gb data on it, coul it be connected with that?

Now its 158Current and 158 worst.  Its decreasing from day to day…

I recommend doing a diagnostic on the drive, you can use DLG which you can get from here:

If the drive has any type of problems doing the diagnostic then i recommend to replace, if you need further information on this matter then i recommend contacting support:

You might want to back up your 800 gigs before you do a diagnostics on the drive.
