What's going on with WD's registration and warranty?

I’m wondering about WD! I ordered a new PR4100 and 4-6tb Red Plus drives. I tried to register all the products. The NAS registered fine but the drives did not show a warranty length date after registration. I contacted WD and was told the drives were registered but THE WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED! How can a warranty expire on something brand new that I just purchased from the WD Store??? I’ve sent them my proof of purchase and screen shots of the the drive info from the desktop WD app that connects to the NAS. After looking online I am seeing that I am not the only one experiencing this! I would caution any when buying WD products that warranty registration issues are not uncommon. And again these were all bought directly from WD. I am still awaiting a resolution to this problem from WD.

Yes I have and it’s being addressed though not resolved as of yet. My point is something like this should NEVER occur with a company such as Western Digital. It makes people question the products they purchase. Are they new? Are they re-furbished which someone previously has used and registered? Why did this happen in the first place with a supposedly brand new product. Poor, poor, poor!
