Which is the fastest file transfer method

The max speed i can achieve via ethernet is 10mb/s is there any faster way to do the transfers? i will do a few questions here…

  1. It is possible to hook a M/M USB cable to hook up the WDTVLive Hub HD directly to your computer?

  2. It is faster to transfer the files through a HD connected directly to the WDTVLive Hub?

  3. Its is possible to remove the HD of the WDTVLive Hub connect it directly to the pc and transfer the files to get the max speed possible?

10mb/s is about the fastest you’re going to be able to transfer over the network.

what kind of spped you get when the hd is connected directly? do you get the full 30mb/s?

You can’t measure the speed when connected directly.  By directly I’m supposing that you mean using the HUB’s sync or file copy feature.   If your talking about connecting the external drive to the HUB then copying via your PC, your going to find that the speed is the same or slower because you are still copying over the network.
