I just installed Smart Ware and it will not allow me to retrieve data and put it back on to new computer. The retrieve tab does not highlight. In the dropdown box no matter which option I chose it stays on my Windows drive C: icon.
Have you looked at the Help tab>Retrieve? Follow those instructions and see what happens. Images of what you are seeing would help. See example image below.

I have not tried this idea yet.
On that note I have spoke with support, and they inform me that I have backed up data to My Passport in Windows “File History.” Do not know how I did that. But nothing is impossible for a Novice to the world of computers.
