Why dropbox? anything else?

thanks in advance for those who respond.

I have WD mypassport Ultra smartwarepro

But doesn’t dropbox already sync & save.  I’ve used this for years and when computers when down, I just DL dropbox & all files were there.  So why back up to dropbox?  Isn’t that redundant, or is it just a 2nd safety measure?

CAn i use another cloud, dropbox is only 2gb, not enough space.  I have other clouds with 50gb.

The Dropbox backup works as the WD drive backup. WD Smartware will create a folder called “WDSmartware.swstor” and backup to this folder the same way it will backup to you external drive.
