Will Full Factory Restore Act as Security Wipe?

I have seen conflicting information regarding overwriting the drive with zeros.  Some said to use CCleaner or Data Lifeguard, but neither can see a networked drive.  Others have said that the full factory restore from the WD Dashboard does do the overwrite with zeros.

WD is swapping my My Cloud for a My Cloud Mirror due to some very strange behavior that they want to see first hand.  I just don’t want WD poking around sensitive client data.

Thanks

Hi, You can perform a Full Factory restore, this will write zeros to the drive, just keep in mind that depending on ths size of the drive

…it may take some time!

It did, but I just let it run overnight.
