I have a 1 TB My Passport with data recovered from a crashed hard drive. My desktop computer running Win 7 does not recocgnize the drive but my Win 10 laptop does. Tried changing drive from e to f and didn’t work. Any solutions?

Make sure the drive is connected directly to the USB port at the back of your Windows 7 Desktop.
You can also go to Disk Management to verify if the drive shows as offline or unknown.
Thanks for the tip. Drive is now recognized when connected to USB Port on back of computer. Not sure I understand why either of the front two ports are not recognizing the drive when they recognize an older WD My Passport 320 GB portable drive?
