Windows 10 and WD Smartware

So just got another pc for our home network and it’s windows 10

When I downloaded smartware, it couldn’t see our mycloud , then I realised file explorer wouldn’t start.

I’ve removed the WD smartware app and file explorer is working again

Am I missing something obvious?
