Won't play files from My Passport

Have been happily playing all media files with no problems until tonight.  I disconnected My Passport without ejecting

I’ve used windows 7 on my laptop to check the disk - no errors and its in NTFS format

I deleted the .WD TV folder from My Passport

WD media player has compiled the media and found all the files

Media player opens the video folder and lists all the files but won’t load them - merely spins away!

Media player will not open music or picture files and shows message of - device has been previously removed etc etc

I have tried both USB ports (front and back) of the media player to no avail

I am now thinking of dipping the thing down the toilet!

Hello,

Try this:

1- Delete the WDTV folder from the Passport drive

2- Reset the WDTV media player by pressing the reset button on the bottom for 1 second

3- Wait for the WDTV to load and then connect the Passport.

4- Try playing the files again.

Thank you for responding.  Finally, after several hours and much bad language my media player finally sorted its act out!  The only thing I did that I hadn’t done previously was to yank out the power supply with My Passport still attached and then fire it up again.
