Wrong Serial Number

Hi im trying to open a support ticket for some WD 8TB reds.Whenever i enter the serial number in the support ticket it says invalid serial number. Im using the number that is printed on the label and have double checked the serial number using the data lifegaurd software. Any solutions?

If you are unable to submit a support ticket then perhaps it would be best to call WD Support directly.

The serial number box is a drop down. You can create a support ticket with the model number as well. Private message me with the serial number and I’ll have our programmer look into it.

I don’t recognize that number style. Our serial numbers are usually 12 characters long and follow an “sn” or “s/n”. What is the model number of the drive?

That is the set of characters following S/N:. I figured that is why the support ticket wasn’t working. It is also the serial number given by the data lifeguard software.

I deleted your s/n for your protection. One of the programmers is looking into this for why the page is rejecting it. Also, when we check the warranty status, it shows as out of region. That might be why it isn’t working, but we don’t know for sure. I will private message you some further contact information.
