The Western Digital My Book World Edition II’s operating system is stored in the Disk Drives, hence, replacing the two original Disk Drives on a non-recoverable RAID configuration (Such as RAID 0) may render the device unusable. Additionally, the controller on the 6 TB My Book World Edition II is different from the 4 TB edition, it may not even recognize the 3 TB Hard Disk Drives at all.
