40 Sec Reset - Light still blinking

I just purchased an 8TB My Cloud Home.
I powered it up, created a user for myself and then had to go to work. I was excited to get home and attempt to set the rest up but it would not take my login/password. I attempted the 40 second reset last night and the light on the front is still blinking. When I read the reset it said “could” take up to 15 minutes. Did I do something wrong?

What color is the blinking light on the front of the My Cloud?

Is the My Cloud connected, via Ethernet wire, to the local network router?

It was White… and yes it was connected to the Ethernet wire.
I took it back to the store and exchanged it. Now I am trying to log in and it is looking for the other device.
I can’t win.

Log into what? The My Cloud Dashboard? Or the MyCloud.com web portal?

Generally for the single bay My Cloud device one configures the device from the My Cloud Dashboard.
