Another USB Backup Failure on EX2

I have been bacling up my A/V files from a 2TB external drive to my EX2.via USB and would like to share my experiences.

First Job created was for my audio files. After a very long time got to 99% and failed. Browsing the files they look like they are all there.If I look at the Job Detail I see there is a destination folder but no source folder even though the USB drive is connected.

Second Job created was for TV_Shows which completed without trouble. If I look at the job I can see both source and destination folders.

Third Job can’t create! Can see the USB drive(all folders and all files) but when I select the source drive folder or even a single file. it does not get entered into the Source Folder. Can enter the destination folder OK but cannot create the job because there is no source folder entry.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Fixed! Don’t know why.

Plugged USB drive into my PC, scanned for errors, none found. Plugged back into EX2. Now I can enter source folder deatils and backup is running.

I’m having the same problem.  I have an EX2 w/ 2 6TB drives mirrored.   After having a different issue wit the unit and a conversation with a tech who noted that I really should be backing up my data I connect two 1 TB drives to backup to different folders.  First I tried using OSX Journaled, the backup started but failed on both folders.  I then reformatted both drives to NTFS, same thing.  Question, as ANYONE been able to set up backup using the external USB 3 port on an EX2? Or should my next step be call support and open a case?
