Appearance of Video/Photos

Hello everyone,

I just bought a WD Live Hub yesterday and I am getting familiar with this. So far, it works well for playback videos, music and photos, but I have some questions regarding the appearance.

I have seem that many people uses very complex solutions to organize their media, using Thumbgen to generate metadata, editing xml files manually, etc… That is too much for me, and I wanted to try an easier solution first.

I have arranged my folder structure as:

root → Music → AlbumFolder → *.mp3

root → Photos → AlbumFolder-> *.jpg

root-> Video → seriesName → season → *.avi

When I press “Video” in the menu (using the factory Mochi interface), and using the Folder view (which I found was the best for me, since I plan to have a lot of media in the hub), the first thing that appears is the WDTVLiveHub itself. When I click it, it appears my Video folder, and only then my folders appear. Like:

WDTVLiveHub → Video → – my Series –

The only thing I wanted was that when I pressed Video on the top menu, it would go directly to the – mySeries – folder, without the need to browse through the WDTVLiveHub, then Video, then the – mySeries – folders. The same thing happens for photos, but not for music, since I use the Artist/Album organization, that works fine for me.

I do not intent to stream anything to it, my idea is to always keep the media in the internal storage and browse/play it from there.

Is there a way to do this without resorting to a custom theme?

Thank you very much,

Eduardo Peixoto.

No.

And custom themes dont make any difference either.

I am experiensing the same “WDTVLiveHub” folder when I select “Videos”. I have choosen to view videos in Gallery View.

This “folder” disappears if I turn off the Media Library. But I like the Media Library feature.

I have filter by folders selected, as I like having my videos seperated in different folder.

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of the “WDTVLiveHub” folder?

/Martin
