Audio tracks start off very loud

Hi there. I’m new to WD devices and also this board so please be gentle with me. I’ve just purchased a WD TV Live Hub and overall am “quite” pleased. Trouble is that the first second of nearly all my mp3 tracks is significantly louder than the rest. So much so that I jump every time one track end and the other begins. 

It effects the audio via the HDMI lead and also the RCA leads. In desperation I’ve now bought an optical lead and that too is the same.

The first thing I did when I plugged it in for the first time was to upgrade the firmware to 3.01.19 so I’ve no idea if this was an issue with older firmware.

Advice appreciated.

Try resetting your player to factory defaults via the internal menu.

How are your mp3’s ripped?

Thought for a minute I’d wiped contents too but it’s all there. Turns out it wasn’t the first second being loud, but the remainder of the song being quiet. Now ALL the songs are loud ALL the time so I just turn down the volume and all is perfect. 

Just need to wait 48 hrs for my media library to be recompiled now  :o(
