Sound is unstable, returns to full after being muted

Hi guys :slight_smile:

So I just got my WD TV Live today and as I don’t have any network shares yet I wanted to test out the spotify features of the SMP.

It logs in fine, shows my playlists and all, but when it starts playing a song the sound goes up and down. When the song starts playing it is at full volume, after like 2 or 3 seconds it goes down to 50% volume and a bit later it goes up again to maybe 75%. This continues through out the entire song, no matter which song it is. I messed around and discovered that muting the SMP and unmuting it returns the volume back to full but only for less than a second.

I’ve upgraded to the latest firmware and the SMP is connected directly to my TV via HDMI, I’ve tried switching HDMI port on my tv but no luck. The SMP is connected via cable to my router.

Have you guys experienced this? - If so do you know how to solve it. I’m kind of bumped out that it does this, I had hoped to start blasting some music right away :confused:

Does this happen on any other service or with media files?

Could it be something on your TV which is doing this?

Try a reset to factory defaults on your player.
