Blinking Green Light - Is This Normal?

I have recently bought a 2TB WD Book Live.

My photos, videos and music have occupied 680GB of the drive space.

Since adding these files the green light hasn’t stopped blinking (3.5 days as I write).

I have read that this is a sign that it is performing Read / Write commands but this has been ongoing for a long time.

I can access it OK but is this normal to keep on blinking?

Hi, as you say the My Book live light will be blinking as long as read/write operation are happening, check if any programs on your PC is accessing the My Book in any way.

Its now stopped blinking. I’m sure I read somewhere that the MBL categorizes the contents? Does it do anything to the picture files to make them compatible for viewing via the WD2GO app?
