The front LED on my 2TB My Book Live will not stop blinking green. I understand this means that there is drive activity, but I can’t determine what that activity is. I can map the drive, and I can see & open its contents. But with this unknown activity, interacting with the drive takes a mind-numbing amount of time. Anybody have any idea about what might be going on?

Do you have a backup running?
No. I was actually waiting for this unknown activity to subside prior to trying to run a backup.
Fortunately, after more than 24 hours, it appears that the activity has stopped on its own.
Now I’m just waiting for the full diagnostic to finish to see if that sheds any light on the issue.
