I’m sure this must be the most asked question on here but I can no longer access my dashboard even though I can access my files.
I can get to the Twonky server.
I have done a full 40 second reset of the device.
I can ping my WDMyCloud via the direct IP address or by DNS.
I can’t access it via SSH because last time I was on the dashboard I turned it off…
I have forwarded port 8080 on my router for the device.
I’m out of ideas, can anyone help? I’ve read through many of these similar threads but to no avail…
What device and operating system are you using? Is your My Cloud showing on your Network? There are several ways of opening up the Dashboard. I have Windows 10 and below are three examples of how I am able to open my Dashboard.
Desktop shortcut, you can do a right click on this and then click on properties to check and see if the address is correct.
Hi Cat0w, thanks for your response. I’ve spent hours looking over the many different threads on this issue but I haven’t found anything that helps.
I’m on a laptop on Windows 10.
I’m not familiar with all of those icons but:
WD My Cloud Setup for Windows can’t find it.
WD My Net View can find it.
WD Smart Ware Pro can’t see it.
WD My Cloud can see it but fails to connect to the device.
WD Sync can’t find it.
WD Access, no option other than “About”.
WD Quick View, no options other than to start Smart Ware and “About”.
In the network tab it doesn’t show up under storage just as another computer on the network. It did show up there however before my 40 second reset but it didn’t work then.
Navigating to http://(the ip address) directly doesn’t work. Neither does http://wdmycloud. Or mycloud.local or mycloud.local/ui.
