Six months ago I purchased an EX4100 24TB. It was my first NAS and I’m especially pleased with it’s ease of use. I’m now discovering that I will soon need to triple or quadruple my storage. I’m hoping you can help me determine a direction for expansion. Should my next purchase be something more scale-able or should I just add more EX4100’s since I’m familiar with that model and pleased with it? I have some rack space available if that is a consideration. I’m a little concerned about facing too much of a learning curve though I suppose I could handle it if needed. Regards, Dane
Hi, changing NAS’s is entirely up to you, however you can add USB drives to the EX4100 to expand its capacity.
An extra 3-4x 24TB is not going to be done using USB.
Just a personal opinion (and I’m no expert) but for that sort of storage you should be considering enterprise solutions. The EX4100 is more a home and small office product. This would also depend on how many user accounts you are expecting.
