Cloud Access does not build thumbnails/index for new photos

Hello,

In one of the recent updates to the firmware, I have noticed that any new photos uploaded via the WD Photos app on android to my WD EX2 is not recognized or indexed by the cloud access. This causes any new photos to not be visible on the app and thumbnails are not created; which is apparent when accessing even over WD My Cloud program on the computer. I have found that in order for my WD EX2 to recognize any new photographs, I have to “rebuild” under cloud access and then they magically appear; even on the app. I assume that the service is corrupted, however I have rebooted, I have reset via the pin on the back of the WD EX2, and I have reset through the interface. PLEASE HELP! I actually want my cloud access to index and give all of my images thumbnails, unlike many other users that want to shut it off. I called tech support and they were dumbfounded and had no clue!

Try doing a system restore on the unit to see if you after trying this you can get the problem solved, here is a link that might help with the restore process:

I am having the same problem On my Church’s cloud drive. Firmware (2.30.165). When I log on to the dashboard it says no movies, pictures etc. If I manually build the mycloud database I get my thumbnails for a while, but they will disappear in a few days. I have restored to factory defaults and the issue remains.

My personal cloud drive does not have this problem at all.
