OS5: Photos do not appear in cloud app - reboot required

Hi WD Staff,
There are already many threads on indexing issue. This one is NOT. When I put new photos in my NAS (mycloudultraex2), they do not appear in cloud app for weeks (even if indexing shows complete, no activity). Time to time, I need to reboot the NAS so the indexing restarts. Is this the only solution? Please assist.

I’m running latest firmware and latest os5 app version on android phone.

The thing is indexing is 100% done for a share (photos,videos). When I add a new photo even less than 1MB, it doesn’t appear in my cloud app for days. I do not understand how to make it work? Any help, please?

Thank you for the suggestion. I don’t want to create a new share. This device doesn’t serve my purpose after the os5 update. My device is updated but the week delayed indexing issue remains. At this point, I’m stuck with WD but as soon as I get a chance (money wise), I will switch to Synology.

This should not be the case.
Have you updated to 5.11.112? If not, please do.
If you are still having the issue mentioned above, please contact support and send the system logs.

Indeed, I’m using the latest firmware (5.11.112) and having this issue. I will try to collect the system log and send to contact support.
FYI, I re-initiated the indexing of one of my shares. It has been close to 24hrs and still 76% is completed. The share is about 1TB in size. But If I need to re-do indexing every time I add a few photos to the share, this is truly a bizarre program.
