I had some problems with my My Book Live and decided to restore factory settings.
In the UI are two buttons to perform a factory reset: QUICK and FULL. I hovered with my mouse at both buttons and at the QUICK button I read a short msg in which was written that the data (4th partition) will not be deleted,
Of course I decided to use the QUICK button and clicked at it.
Afterwards ALL my data files are gone !!! grrr…grrr…
I tried windows 10 software like rlinux, spinrite etc. but am unlucky
So question is how to recover my data? Until now I am not happy with such an UI.
I have access to the WD 2 TB harddrive with windows 10 and linux (ubuntu)
