Hi Folks,
just lost my MCH while moving large amounts of files between folders and I’d love to get it start again. It gets an IP address, the MAC is visible but has no open port to connect to. Web GUI, SSH, File Sharing or mobile cant establish a connection.
When checking the disk on my Linux laptop, I saw 24 partitions with the last one at about 7,5 TB of 8TB holding my data. But what about the first 23?
The disk seems to be working fine, so I presume some kind of OS problem. Next step is to use the serial console to view the boot messages while starting.
Where can I find a firmware to recover?
Where can I find the former running version of the operating system?
If I buy a new myCloudHome, can i recover the files from the old disk by pluging it into as external USB drive?
What are my options?
Which way to go?
I am not a linux “all skill geek” but I feel comfortable with a bash, mounting a partition in a disk image using a loop device.
