What would be the best portable hard drive to store movies for the WD Live Media player?
I was also wondering about this and just started looking on these boards the past day to see what is most popular.
Can anyone recommend something 1TB+ size that won’t run too hot and can efficiently run 1080p movies?

I just bought a WD HD TV live… and a My book World Edition 2 TB works great…
but for 1080i it runs out of space fast…
But they work great together… well i’m use to Twonkymedia server, that i have been using on my normal server but the MBWE runs it good…
It does what it is built for really good and a litlle more… If you start hacking it, dont expect any CPU power…
1.5TB WD Essentials. Works great.
Best to stick with a WD hard drive I reckon, considering all the other issues with the wd tv live.

Be careful if you look around the forum you will see that some WD drives don’t work.
